Your itinerary
Day 1: Depart UK.
Overnight flight to Johannesburg.
Day 2: Arrive Johannesburg.
On arrival in Johannesburg you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Johannesburg - Mpumalanga.
We travel to Mpumalanga, aptly known as 'Paradise Country'. We'll drive along the spectacular 'Panorama Route', offering views of amazing scenery, including the 26 kilometre-long Blyde River Canyon. Next stop is the historic Gods Window, a breathtaking view of the edge of the escarpment taking in the Kruger National Park. Then it's on to Hazyview for an overnight stay.

Days 4 - 5: Kruger National Park - Mpumalanga.
Kruger is one of the world's great national parks, home to a stunning array of wildlife. The day begins with an early morning game drive with a pre-packed breakfast in Kruger National Park. Look out for the 'Big Five' (rhino, elephant, leopard, lion and buffalo), as well as a vast range of birdlife. The afternoon is yours to relax or you may wish to enjoy some more safari sightseeing - late afternoon game drives are available as optional excursions. We then return to Mpumalanga for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Mpumalanga - Swaziland.
This morning we head for Swaziland an independent Kingdom within the borders of South Africa, known for its lovely scenery, superb crafts and colourful indigenous culture. First stop today is a Swazi glass factory, later today visit a local candle factory, manufacturers of a wide range of beautifully crafted candles for export. After checking into your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to relax or explore the local area.

Day 7: Swaziland - Zululand.
Today we re-enter South Africa and enjoy an afternoon game drive, before we continue to our hotel in Zululand for an overnight stay.

Day 8: Zululand - Durban.
After breakfast we will visit a traditional Zulu village for lunch and a display of local culture before we travel to Durban, South Africa's chief seaport and popular resort, for a two-night stay.

Day 9: Durban.
At leisure. The day is yours to explore this charming city. Why not join our morning optional Durban city tour? Alternatively, you can just relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches, wander through some of the city's lovely parks and gardens, or search for souvenirs in the Indian markets.

Day 10: Durban - Port Elizabeth.
Transfer to Durban Airport for your flight to Port Elizabeth, where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to relax or explore. Known as the 'Friendly City', Port Elizabeth has a wonderful climate and offers plenty to see and do. For example, you can visit the oceanarium and snake house. Or maybe just relax on the beach?

Day 11: Port Elizabeth - Garden Route.
We head westward along the Garden Route, which follows the Indian Ocean coastline, and is bordered inland by soaring mountain ranges. This is one of the world's most beautiful coastlines and receives its name from the wealth of lakes, rivers, lagoons, pristine beaches and lush green vegetation. You'll arrive at your hotel in Knynsa in time to spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing or exploring. Knysna is known as the oyster box of South Africa, it nestles on the banks of a beautiful lagoon in the heart of the Garden Route.

Day 12: Garden Route.
A leisurely start to the day, you'll enjoy a lagoon cruise to the Featherbed Nature Reserve, where you can take a trailer ride to the top of Western Head to enjoy panoramic views of the town and lagoon, returning for an included lunch under the Milkwood trees. You'll stay overnight in Knysna.

Day 13: Garden Route.
We travel to Oudtshoorn, the centre of the world's Ostrich farming industry. We'll visit an Ostrich Farm for a guided tour, before taking a tour of the spectacular limestone caverns of the Cango caves, one of the world's great natural wonders, sculpted by nature through the ages. You'll stay overnight in Oudtshoorn.

Day 14: Garden Route - Cape Town.
We travel to Cape Town, the oldest city in South Africa, spectacularly set at the foot of Table Mountain for an overnight stay. The evening is yours to relax or explore the city.

Day 15: Cape Town.
Our first stop is Table Mountain (excludes cost of Table Mountain tickets), where the revolving cable cars give stunning views over Cape Town. Then it's on to the Milnerton Lighthouse for a chance to photograph the mountain from a good spot. We then travel to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, where you'll have time to wander around the many shops, restaurants and craft markets.

Day 16: Cape Town - UK.
Today you will be taken to the airport for your overnight flight back to the UK.

Day 17: Home landing in the UK.
