DAY 7 (Fri): Athens - Piraeus - embarkation. Evening embarkation in Piraeus. Cruise overnight towards Istanbul. (B,D)
DAY 8 (Sat): Arrival in Istanbul. Enjoy the best part of the day at sea arriving into Istanbul in the early evening to catch the sunset over the Bosphorus. (B,L,D)
DAY 9 (Sun): Istanbul. Half in Europe, half in Asia, Istanbul is divided by the Bosphorus whose shores are littered with wealthy private residences and exclusive restaurants. Istanbul houses some of the world's greatest historic treasures such as the Blue Mosque with its precious Iznik tiles and the Topkapi Palace containing the treasures of Ottoman sultans. Enjoy a full day at leisure for optional sightseeing in this fascinating city. Depart early evening for Mykonos. (B,L,D)
DAY 10 (Mon): Mykonos. Mid-afternoon arrival in Mykonos. Spend the afternoon wandering the white washed lanes, alive with fashionable jewellery, local art and pottery shops. Sail for Patmos late evening. (B,L,D)
DAY 11 (Tue): Patmos - Kusadasi. Early morning arrival in Patmos, this tiny island where St. John the divine wrote the revelation. Set sail for Kusadasi, a colourful and lively port with plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants and a covered market. Treat yourself to a true highlight: the optional visit of the ancient Roman port town of Ephesus or wander through the narrow paved streets. Set sail for Rhodes in the evening. (B,L,D)
DAY 12 (Wed): Rhodes. Morning arrival in Rhodes, a UNESCO protected walled town beautifully kept and preserved and only a short walk from the port. Stroll down the Street of the Knights, or visit the Palace of the Grand Masters. Don't miss the optional excursion to the town and the Acropolis of Lindos. Evening departure to Heraklion, Crete. (B,L,D)
DAY 13 (Thu): Crete - Santorini. Early morning arrival in Herakalion, the capital of Crete. Don't miss the optional excursion to Knossos, the centre of the 3,000 BC Minoan civilisation. Sail at midday. This afternoon, visit Santorini, the 'Black Pearl of the Aegean'. An optional excursion takes you to the cliff-top village of Oia for one of the world's most breathtaking views. Later return to the ship and look forward to a festive farwell dinner. (B,L,D)
DAY 14 (Fri): Piraeus - disembark - Athens. Early morning arrival in Piraeus for disembarkation. The remainder of the day is at leisure in Athens. (B)
DAY 15 (Sat): Athens - UK. Transfer to Athens airport for your flight to the UK. (B)

Your itinerary
Day 1: UK - Athens.
Fly to Athens where you will be met by your our representative and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Athens (included sightseeing) - Kalambaka.
This morning's included sightseeing features the highlights of Athens. In the afternoon, after bypassing Lamia into Thessaly and by way of Trikala head to Kalambaka for an overnight in the vicinity of Meteora which will be visited tomorrow.

Day 3: Kalambaka - Meteora - Delphi.
A short drive to Meteora, which is a cluster of monastic buildings perched in a unforgettable manner on a set of rising rock formations. Your included visit is certainly the day's highlight. Later retrace your steps southwards to reach Delphi for an overnight.

Day 4: Delphi (included sightseeing) - Patras - Olympia.
Start the day with included sightseeing in Delphi, known in ancient times as the 'Navel of the Earth'. Situated just a few minutes from the village, the ancient site, backed by imposing Mount Parnassus, is in one of the most beautiful natural settings in the country and your sightseeing with local guide takes you along the Sacred Way to see the Temple of Apollo, some of the Treasuries and the Theatre. This afternoon follow the Gulf of Corinth through Nafpaktos to Antirion. Journey over the spectacular bridge to Rion, then on to Patras for a short stop to visit St Andrew's church and then continue to Olympia for an overnight.

Day 5: Olympia (included sightseeing) - Peloponnese - Nauplia.
The original home of the Olympic Games first held in 776BC, Olympia was a sacred precinct to the God Zeus, whose temple once housed one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. This morning's sightseeing with local guide includes the ancient stadium where the Games were held and the temples of Zeus and of his wife Hera. Later travel past the mountains of Arcadia, across the Peloponnese and pass through Tripolis before entering the Argolis, land of Greek myths and legends. Continue to Nauplia for an overnight.

Day 6: Nauplia - Mycenae (included sightseeing) - Epidaurus - Athens.
This morning visit the imposing ruins of the site of Mycenae with a local guide, the ancient city called by Homer 'City rich in gold'. It was here that the Golden Mask of Agamemnon was unearthed and many other treasures which matched exactly Homer's descriptions in the Iliad (entrance fees included). Enter the city by the magnificent Lion's Gate and wander up to Agamemnon's Royal Palace. Next to Epidaurus to visit the world famous theatre (entrance fee included). In the afternoon stop at the impressive Corinth Canal before continuing to Athens. In the evening, why not join our optional tour of Athens by night?

Day 7: Athens. At leisure.
At leisure in Athens or you may wish to see island life from the deck of a cruise ship on the optional three island cruise, visiting Aegina, Poros and Hydra. Poros is a lush island with a maze of narrow streets. Aegina is the main producer of pistachio nuts in Greece, while Hydra is home to a large artist community and beautiful boutiques line the scenic harbour.

Transfer to Athens airport for your flight to the UK.
