Your itinerary
Day 1: UK - Rome
Fly to Rome where you will be transferred to your hotel for a four night stay.
Day 2: Rome. Included sightseeing.
Rome never ceases to amaze and delight, the centre of the ancient civilised world, it is a city steeped in history and culture, but also a vibrant modern metropolis with lively cafés and chic designer shops. Our included half day sightseeing tour with a local guide starts in St Peter's Square, followed by a visit to the Roman Forum and the mighty Colosseum, home of the gladiatorial games. This introductory tour is sure to whet your appetite for more sightseeing over the next couple of days. (B)
Days 3 - 4: Rome. At leisure.
Two full days to explore Rome and enjoy its many attractions. Our representative will be happy to give you advice and suggest places to visit, eat out and do some shopping. Why not throw a few coins in the famous Trevi Fountain and climb the elegant Spanish Steps? Or perhaps stroll along the Via Veneto, lined with elegant hotels, and memorably featured in Fellini's classic movie La Dolce Vita. As for further afield, trips to the Roman Hills, the famous fossilised city of Pompeii or the ancient port city of Ostia Antica are just a few of the many options worth considering.
