We start with a visit to the village and Abbey of Silvacane on the south bank of the River Durance, dating back to the 11th-century. Then it's on to the small town of Cadenet, famous mainly because of its drummer boy Andre Estienne, whose statue is located in the town's main square, and then we travel through the Luberon mountains to Lacoste, famed for its ruined chateau, former home of the family of the Marquis de Sade. We visit Oppede-le-Vieux, a beautifully restored ancient village with magnificent views of the Vaucluse plateau, before returning to Aix via Pertuis, where you'll enjoy an included visit to the Domaine de Jansons for some local wine-tasting.
