Your itinerary
Day 1: London - Channel crossing - Amsterdam area.
Join your tour by travelling on our free coach service from London for your Channel crossing to the Continent. Here you will be met by your tour director and touring coach to continue to the Amsterdam area for overnight.
Day 2: Amsterdam area (included sightseeing) - Rhineland.
A morning to enjoy the colourful city of Amsterdam. After your included visit to a diamond factory start the morning sightseeing; a drive with a local guide pointing out the city highlights and finally a canal cruise, the best way to see Amsterdam. In the afternoon travel south to the Rhineland area for overnight.

Day 3: Rhineland - Romantic Road - Munich.
Start the day with a scenic drive along the shores of the Rhine or opt for a Rhine cruise. Admire the pretty villages, the castles perched high above the river and the numerous terraced vineyards. Next, drive along the Romantic Road through numerous towns and villages, with squares of half-timbered houses and richly decorated fountains. Stop awhile in picturesque Rothenburg before continuing to Munich for overnight.

Day 4: Munich - Innsbruck - Venice area.
Travel from Munich to Austria for a stop in the capital of the Tyrol, Innsbruck. Drive over the Brenner Pass to Italy through the stunning Dolomites' alpine scenery to Cortina. Continue to the Venice area for overnight.

Day 5: Venice (included sightseeing) - Florence area.
The included tour with local guide starts with a boat-ride and is followed by highlights such as a visit to St Mark's Basilica and a chance to watch skilled Venetian glass blowers at work. Southward into the hilly Tuscan countryside to reach the Florence area for two nights.

Day 6: Florence. Included sightseeing.
This Renaissance gem, city of the Medicis, will keep you enthralled for a whole day. Traffic is partly banned in the historic centre so visitors can wander at leisure and admire the city's timeless beauty. Enjoy the included city sightseeing walk with local guide and a visit to one of Florence's bargain leather shops.

Day 7: Florence area - Lake Lucerne.
Across the Lombardy Plain this morning to Switzerland to visit the Italian influenced resort of Lugano. Here you take a break to stroll along the lakeside promenade before climbing towards the St Gotthard tunnel. Emerge on the German-speaking side of Switzerland and then descend into the gentle landscape around Lake Lucerne for overnight.

Day 8: Lake Lucerne - Paris.
A short stop in Lucerne and time to enjoy an optional boat trip. Later travel through green pastures with picturesque chalets of rustic timbering and luxuriant flowers before reaching France. Continue past some of France's most famous vineyards to Paris for two nights, arriving in time to enjoy an optional cabaret show.

Day 9: Paris. Included sightseeing.
Paris holds a special place in the imagination. A fascinating city famed for its culture, beauty, sophistication and sparkle. Included sightseeing with a local guide takes in many of the best-known Parisian sights: La Sorbonne, Boulevard St Germain, Eiffel Tower, Opéra, Champs Elysées and Rue de Rivoli to name just a few. In the afternoon, enjoy an optional visit to the Palace of Versailles (closed on Mondays) and in the evening, an optional farewell dinner.

Day 10: Paris - Channel crossing - London.
Leave Paris and drive north to the Channel port where your tour ends. After the short Channel crossing join the coach service to London.
