Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive London. Check into your hotel after 2pm and the remainder of the day is free to relax before meeting your fellow travellers at 6pm. After dinner take a short walk to explore nearby Covent Garden and Piccadilly Circus. (D)
Day 2: London. Today we journey to historic Stonehenge on our way to the beautiful spa town of Bath. Tonight why not get together at a traditional English pub? (B)
Day 3: London sightseeing: This morning we take a driving tour of London past sights such as Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, The Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. Use your included tube-pass to visit Madame Tussauds, the London Eye or one of the many other great attractions in town - see your Tour Manager for details on how to buy tickets. Tonight we visit the West End for a musical. (B)
Day 4: London to Paris. Leaving London, we head for Dover and our ferry to France. Enjoy a first view of the city?s sights on our evening illuminations tour. (B,D)
Day 5: Paris. What better way to immerse yourself in Parisien chic than with a visit to a
French perfume house? Then it?s a short drive to Versailles for an individual guided tour of the amazing palace. This evening is yours to explore the city and perhaps dine out in style. (B)
Day 6: Paris Sightseeing. Today an opportunity to continue to explore this spectacular city on your free day. This evening why not join us for an optional special treat, dinner and show at the world famous Moulin Rouge cabaret? (B)
Day 7: Paris to Rome. Time for that last minute shopping or sightseeing before boarding the overnight train for the journey south to Rome. (B) (NB: Train cabins are single sex, therefore those travelling as couples may be seperated)
Day 8: Rome. On arrival into Rome Termini station, you will be met by a Contiki Representative who will transfer you to the hotel. After checking in, we recommend you head directly to the Vatican City to see the Sistine Chapel and Vatican museums. (D)
Day 9: Rome. With your included metro see the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. Later, use your metro pass to explore the many historical sites in Rome; the Colosseum, Piazza di Spagna famous for the Spanish Steps or explore the Vatican City further in Saint Peter?s Basilica. (B)
Day 10: Rome. Time to say ?Arrivederci?, your tour ends after breakfast. (B)
