Day 1 – London
– Cardiff
We meet at the Holiday
Inn Kings Cross/Bloomsbury and head west
to see Stonehenge
and Salisbury Cathedral. Then on to Bath
before crossing into Wales and on to
Cardiff
for an orientation tour before
continuing onto our hotel.

Day 2 – Cardiff
– Waterford
This morning we travel
through South Wales to Pembroke and set
sail for Ireland
and our hotel. Hotel: Ramada Viking.

Day 3 –
Waterford – Killarney
We see Reginald's Tower
and city walls before visiting the
Waterford Crystal
Showroom. Then a scenic drive brings us
to Blarney. Perhaps kiss the stone before
we continue to Killarney? Hotel: Eviston

Day 4 – Ring of
Kerry Excursion
This morning we see some
of the finest scenery in Ireland as we
travel around
the Ring of Kerry. We discover a world
of superb seascapes, towering cliffs and
lush lakelands. (B)
Day 5 –
Killarney – Dublin
We travel via Adare
before an orientation tour of Limerick.
We then see the Rock
of Cashel on our way to Dublin.

Day 6 – Dublin
Sightseeing
This morning our guided
city tour shows us the elegant Georgian
squares and the
impressive Dublin Castle. Later, we see
the home of the Irish President in Phoenix
Park, the Customs House, statue-lined
O'Connell Street and Trinity College. Then
time at leisure this afternoon to shop
or perhaps enjoy the hospitality of a
typical
Irish pub? (B)
Day 7 – Dublin
– Chester
By ferry back to Wales
today, then on to visit the black and
white Rows and see
the city walls and cathedral of Chester.
Now to our hotel. Hotel: Quality. (B,D)
Day 8 – Chester
– Glasgow
We drive through the
Lake District, with scenery so beautiful
it has inspired
a host of writers, from the poet
Wordsworth to the children's author
Beatrix Potter.
We stop in the village of Grasmere where
we visit Wordsworth's grave. Then cross
the border into 'bonnie' Scotland, land
of tartan and bagpipes, through the
lowlands
to Glasgow. Hotel: Normandy. (B,D)
Day 9 – Glasgow
– Dundee
After an orientation
tour of Glasgow, we drive along the
'bonnie banks' of Loch
Lomond and through Glencoe before
heading to Dundee.

Day 10 –
Dundee – Edinburgh
Today we head to St.
Andrews, the home of golf, before
continuing to Edinburgh.
Here our local guide shows us the
highlights of the city, including the
Castle,
before some free time. Then we continue
to our hotel.

Edinburgh North. (B)
Day 11 –
Edinburgh – Leeds
This morning we pass
ruined Jedburgh Abbey on our way to the
ancient city of
York. We see the Shambles and York
Minster before continuing to our Leeds
hotel.

Day 12 – Leeds
– London
Today we visit modern
Coventry Cathedral, before reaching
Shakespeare's Stratford.
Now on to London where our tour ends.
