Day 1 – London –
Amsterdam
Meet your Tour Director at the
Holiday Inn Kings Cross/Bloomsbury and
head to
Dover for your cruise to France.
Belgium’s Flanders Fields lead to
Holland and the
canals and bridges which make
Amsterdam the ‘Venice of the
North’. An
orientation tour of this exciting city
shows you Dam Square and the
Mint Tower. Later, visit a
diamond-polishing factory to see
diamonds being cut and polished.

Day 2 – Amsterdam
– Rhineland
This morning enter Germany to visit
Cologne
and view its 13th century Gothic
cathedral.
Continue along the Rhine, via Bonn,
boarding a Rhine cruise at the charming
town of Boppard. Relax as you glide
past leafy vineyards, medieval
castles
and half-timbered houses. Rejoin your
coach and see the legendary Loreley
Rock and admire Pfalz Castle, which
sits in the middle of the river.

Day 3 – Rhineland
– Innsbruck
Drive south to the Bavarian Alps
for
views of ‘Mad’ King
Ludwig’s fairytale
castle of Neuschwanstein. Take the
beautiful Fern Pass into Austria
and the
Tyrolean capital of Innsbruck.
Sightseeing
here includes the Rococo Wilten
Basilica, the
impressive Golden Roof and the
Imperial Palace.
This evening consider spending the
evening at a lively
Austrian folklore show.

Day 4 – Innsbruck
– Lucerne
Travel through spectacular Alpine
scenery as you leave the Austrian Alps,
stopping
in the capital of the small
principality of Liechtenstein, which is
dominated by Vaduz Castle. Travel along
the Walensee Lake to Lucerne to see the
covered
Chapel Bridge and the stirring Lion
Monument, dedicated to the Swiss guards
who died defending the French
King. Spend your free time
exploring the
town, shopping for a Swiss timepiece
or nibbling local chocolate before settling

Day 5 – Lucerne –
Paris
Cross the Rhine at the industrial
city of Basel before
heading into France. Pass the
rich farmlands of Alsace and continue
in the shadow of the Jura
Mountains to the wine-growing
region of Burgundy. Arrive in

vibrant heart of French life where, as
night
falls, you can join an excursion
to see
the city’s illuminations the
perfect
indroduction to one of Europe's
loveliest cities.

Day 6 – Paris –
Sightseeing
With a local guide this morning, see
Garnier’s Opera House,
Napoleon’s
Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Elysees,
the famous Eiffel Tower and Notre

part of the city, the ‘Ile de la
Cité’. Spend
your free time discovering the riches of
this great capital city: explore
the huge
collection of art treasures at the
Louvre or
browse in the elegant boutiques for
the latest
fashions. Tonight, don't miss the
nightlife - consider
spending the evening enjoying a
lively cabaret
or indulging in local cuisine at a
typical Parisian bistro. (B)
Day 7 – Paris –
London
This morning travel through the great
battlefields of World War One to Calais,
from where you will sail the English
channel to Dover. The tour ends in London
after a picturesque drive through the
