Step aboard the magnificent Black Watch cruise ship and enjoy a
wonderful fortnight of classical music. Hosted by Barry Cheeseman
and Judy Robson, the music programme has been organised by musician
Simon Rowland-Jones and will be presented by Susan Sharpe.
Featuring a host of international musicians this special Music
Festival includes superb concerts complemented by a series of talks
and interviews with the artists. There will also be special
music-themed shore excursions at selected ports of call.
Departing from Dover, the Black Watch takes you through the Kiel
Canal before visiting Mariehamn, Helsinki, St Petersburg, Gdynia,
Sassnitz, Copenhagen and Oslo, before returning to Dover. This
exclusive music cruise is just one of many musical holidays we
offer and you can also travel with Kirker to all of Europe's
leading opera houses and festivals.
Tour lecturers
Susan Sharpe
Sue Sharpe studied German at London University and later worked
for the BBC German Service. For the past 16 years she's been able
to indulge and share her love of music as a broadcaster on Radio
Three, including live concerts and the proms. For 11 years she
presented mid week choice. In 1998 she was named Radio Broadcaster
of the Year by the Broadcasting Press Guild for her presentation on
Radio 3. Sue has travelled all round the world leading tours.
