Sunday - 30th December
Depart from your chosen local joining point for the journey to
Anglesey and the port of Holyhead for your Irish Sea crossing to
Dublin Port. During the crossing why not enjoy an optional pre
booked festive meal (pre-book £10), take advantage of the
onboard shopping facilities or just while away the time relaxing
with a drink in one of the lounges. On arrival in Dublin we travel
to our hotel, enjoy your first evening in the Emerald Isle and
perhaps venture into the heart of the city. Take in some of the
well renowned nightlife and you may even decide to have a
well-earned glass of the black nectar.
Monday - New Year's Eve
After breakfast the day is free for you to explore the culture of
Dublin, enjoy the sights along the River Liffey and O' Connell
Street - rightly famous for its retail therapy opportunities. Later
on in the evening you may want to enjoy yourself in the heart of
the city around Temple Bar. As New Year approaches don't forget the
famous traditional ringing of the bells at Christ Church Cathedral.
Wrap up warm because due to its popularity, everyone gathers
outside to sample the atmosphere!
Tuesday - New Year's Day
A day at leisure to either relax and enjoy your hotel facilities or
enjoy the city centre of Dublin. Alternatively, you may wish to
join one of our fabulous optional excursions: A spectacularly
scenic drive along the Wicklow Coast where you can see some of the
picturesque Irish scenery, passing by Bray and Greystones on our
way to a halt in Wicklow. This is followed by a drive to
Glendalough famous for its 6th century monastic site situated in
the valley of the two lakes. After enjoying the tranquillity we
return to Dublin by way of Punchestown, famous for its Spring
National Hunt race meeting. Pre-book for only £10.
OR
A day at the races for the New Year's Day National Hunt meeting at
Fairyhouse racecourse on the outskirts of Dublin. We shall arrive
in plenty of time for the first race and depart after completion of
the card. Admission to the course is included in the price of this
excursion. Pre-book for only £20. The evening is free for
further relaxation or exploration.
Wednesday
After an early breakfast we travel back to Dublin Port for the
return sailing across the Irish Sea to Holyhead. Sadly you must bid
farewell to the cosmopolitan city of Dublin and the culture of the
Emerald Isle. Our coach then returns you to your local joining
point.
