Paris & The Loire Valley

• Day 1 - We arrive in the Paris area and stay for four nights.
• Day 2 - Paris (included). Our guided sightseeing tour (optional) is the best way to see the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the majestic Champs Elysées, the splendour of the Place de la Concorde and Notre Dame Cathedral. For a different view of the city, we recommend our narrated cruise (optional) along the majestic River Seine, past elegant buildings and beneath historic bridges, including Pont Neuf, the city's oldest. B
• Day 3 - Loire Valley (included). Known as the 'Garden of France', the Loire Valley is renowned for its Chateaux and its fine wines. We visit Amboise, where Leonardo da Vinci spent his final years, also home to the Château d'Amboise. Next, we explore Blois with its Renaissance château, followed by Tours, the most appealing of the major Loire cities, with its Tudor-style houses, and Place Plumereau, full of cafés, boutiques and galleries. Entry to Château is extra. B
• Day 4 - Versailles (included). We visit the impressive Château and Gardens of Versailles, originally created by Louis XIV (château admission is extra - approx. 8 Euros). Our Paris by Night Tour (optional) begins with a visit to the Montparnasse Tower, until recently, the tallest skyscraper in Western Europe from where the most beautiful views of Paris stretch out before us, then later enjoy a 3-course meal in a typical restaurant, before a sightseeing tour of the city, illuminated against the night sky. • Day 5 - We journey to Calais, then return home. B
