Your itinerary8-Day Imperial Break
- Day
1 - Fly to Prague, where you will be met and
transferred to your hotel for a two-night stay.D
- Day 2 -
Prague (included). Prague is affectionately known as the
'Golden Town' on account of its historic architecture including
cathedrals, gold-tipped towers, church domes and numerous bridges
which span the majestic Vltava river. The city also presents a
modern facade, with exciting shopping arcades, bustling city
squares and an excellent array of restaurants and cafés in
which to sample the local specialities washed down with a glass of
local beer. Starting from the magnificent Prague Castle, our
walking tour (optional) will introduce the splendid architecture of
Prague Old Town, the world's largest UNESCO monument. Following our
morning walking tour of Prague, it's time to relax as we take to
the water for a cruise on the Moldau River (optional). A buffet
lunch will be served on board with a selection of warm and cold
Czech specialties for you to enjoy. So sit back on the sundeck,
listen to the musician, and admire the outstanding views of the
city of a hundred spires.B,D
- Day 3 -
Bratislava (included). Leaving Prague, we head to
Bratislava. Bratislava, the capital city of Slovakia and entrance
gate to this small, eastern European country, is one of the most
prominent tourist destinations in Slovakia. Our visit shows you the
highlights of this mystical city. We continue to Budapest for two
nights. B,D
- Day 4 -
Budapest (included). Today you will have the full day to
discover the Hungarian capital of Budapest. You will have time at
leisure to explore the city on your own, maybe taking a stroll by
the river or visiting the tempting stores of the Vaci Utca street,
ensuring that your time in this wonderful city is certainly
something to remember. Join our sightseeing tour (optional) in the
company of our expert guide, who will offer an insight into the
splendours of this wonderful city, allowing you to appreciate
Budapest to the full. B,D
- Day 5 - Head
to Vienna, with time at leisure, before continuing to our
hotel in the Vienna Woods for two nights. B,D
- Day 6 -
Vienna (included). A full day to enjoy the delights of
Vienna. The former imperial city of Vienna has long been a
favourite destination on account of its diversity. The world
capital of classical music has been home to many famous composers,
has a fascinating heritage as the centre of the Habsburg Empire, a
rich culture with over 80 museums, and an impressive modern face
with elegant shops and boutiques. Our guided tour (optional) will
begin by coach, where we will be taken along the Imperial Boulevard
known as the Ringstrasse. Here you will see the Hofburg Palace, the
Parliament building, the Opera House, National Theatre and City
Hall. During our tour we will also see the majestic Danube River,
and later, as we pass by the Prater amusement park, there will be a
chance to view the famous 'Giant Wheel' built over 100 years ago,
and today one of the best-known landmarks of the city. B,D
- Day 7 -
Konopiste Castle (included). Leaving Vienna Woods, we head
back to Prague, via a visit to imposing Konopiste Castle. The
building is famous for being the home of Franz Ferdinand, who
converted the castle into an opulent residence filled with rich
furniture, works of art and lavish decorations (please note that
entrance to the castle is at additional cost). We stay in Prague
overnight. B,D

8 - Transfer to the airport and the return flight
home to the UK. B
