Northern Italian Break
- Day
1 - We travel to Belgium for an overnight
stay.
- Day
2 - Arrive at your hotel for a five-night stay.

- Day 3 - Lake
Garda Tour, Including Boat Trip (optional). We will stop
at some of the most picturesque villages on Lake Garda, including
the gem of the peninsula, Sirmione. We will take a private boat
from Sirmione to Gardone, on the way passing the private island of
Garda with its Venetian Villa inhabited by the Countess Borghese
and her five bachelor sons. B,L,D
- Day 4 -
Verona (included). Today we travel to the second largest
city in the Veneto region, Verona. This beautiful Roman city is
situated alongside the River Adige. The many historic buildings,
the mighty Roman Arena famous for its summer opera performances,
and Juliet's balcony combine to make the city a lovely place to
explore on foot. B,L,D

Sightseeing (optional) - The many charms of the
city will be brought to life as we walk through its streets
accompanied by a local guide. Admire the 1st-century Arena, home to
the prestigious Verona Opera Festival, which dominates the main
square. Verona boasts an abundance of fine palaces, churches and
monuments, which adorn its alleyways and squares. Our informative
guide will reveal many of the fascinating stories behind the
history of the buildings and the city's personalities, allowing us
to appreciate the charming nature of this fine old historic
town.
- Day 5 -
Venice (included). Today we enjoy a wonderful excursion to
the unique city of Venice, the largest city in the Veneto area.
This city mixes Byzantine and Renaissance architecture throughout
its 118 islands. The magnificent buildings, surrounded by bridges
and canals, are a sign of the city's former wealth. The city has
many spectacular sights, including the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark's
Square and the Doges' Palace. B,L,D
- Venice
Lagoon Cruise (optional) - We will be taken on a
panoramic boat around part of the Venetian Lagoon. We begin with a
view over St. Mark's Square before passing several small islands,
including the Giudecca island. At the end of the island is one of
Venice's most luxurious hotels, The Cipriani. We continue past the
islands, which were used as sites for monasteries or hospitals
through the centuries. We pass the Lido, Venice's seaside resort
also famous for the International Film Festival. Our guide will
point out Murano, centre of the glassmaking industry since 1291. On
the return trip we will pass the Venice promenade and continue back
to our original departure point.
- Gondola
Ride (optional) - No visit to Venice would be
complete without a ride in a gondola, so don't miss the opportunity
to be steered through the network of canals and past elegant
palaces and ornate bridges in the hands of an experienced
gondolier. Sit back and admire this wonderful city from the
traditional form of transport, soaking up the unique Venetian
atmosphere.
- Day 6 -
Trentino Dolomites (included). A spectacular day giving us
the opportunity to see the breathtaking scenery of the majestic
Trentino Dolomites on a wonderful scenic drive through the
magnificent mountains with their fantastic shaped pinnacles and
dramatic pillars. Don't forget your camera to capture the
unsurpassable views and colours in this rugged limestone massif.

7 - We travel to northern France for an overnight
