Camels, rocks and canyons - this is a sensational camping
adventure where you get to experience all of the 'icons' of the Red
Centre. Meet new friends as you discover the Outback's three
biggest attractions in three days. The pace is relaxed however,
there are plenty of things to see and do.

Your itinerary
Day 1 Depart Alice Springs to Ayers Rock.
Depart Alice Springs to Ayers Rock. Departing Alice Springs we
head south, stopping for a short visit at the Outback Camel Farm
(rides at own expense) and then heading straight to our Ayers Rock
permanent campsite. This afternoon journey to Kata Tjuta (Olgas).
Walk along the natural creek beds of Kata Tjuta and discover flora,
fauna and geology unique to the region. Later this afternoon,
travel to Uluru and watch the sunset. As the sun sinks into the
desert plain, view the show of changing light and colours upon
Uluru and witness the unveiling of a dazzling Outback night sky.
Tonight enjoy a traditional Aussie meal. After dinner, relax around
the campfire under starry desert skies

Lunch Dinner
Day 2 Ayers Rock to Kings Creek Station.
Rise early and journey to our superb vantage point to watch
the day's first light illuminate Uluru in a fantastic array of
colours. For those who really must tackle the 1.6 kilometre climb,
you will also have the chance. Or explore the surrounding area.Take
an easy-paced stroll to the waterhole and ancient hunting ground of
Mutitjulu. Hear legends of the area, which are still held sacred to
the traditional owners. Then take the Mala Walk and view galleries
of ancient Aboriginal rock paintings and listen to the stories of
the Mala (Hare Wallaby) people who once lived at Uluru. Visit
Kantju Gorge, a scared waterhole with near-vertical walls rising
from the water's edge. This afternoon, travel through red sand
dunes and desert oak country to Kings Creek Cattle Station where
optional activities are abundant. Tonight, try a traditional 'camp
oven' dinner, cooked in the coals of the fire.

Breakfast Lunch Dinner
Day 3 Kings Creek to Alice Springs.
This morning we visit breathtaking Kings Canyon. There's no
rush, as we hike around the canyon rim viewing sites like the 'Lost
City' and the 'Garden of Eden', as well as the striking North and
South Walls. There are plenty of opportunities for photos. We
return to Kings Creek Station for lunch before travelling through
sand dune country as we head back to Alice Springs, arriving
approx. 6.30 p.m.
Please Note: some activities within Australia's national parks
are dependent on weather and the observance of cultural traditions,
therefore itineraries are subject to change. Please limit luggage
(i.e., one soft overnight bag). Tour may return via an alternative
route to Alice Springs.
