You will be met and transferred to your centrally located
hotel. The rest of today is at leisure for you to explore this
pretty Garden City.

Day 2 Christchurch, Lake Ohau, High Country Dinner.
Today we journey to Lake Tekapo and view the tiny Church of
the Good Shepherd. Continue to Mt Cook National Park, a World
Heritage-listed area. There may be an opportunity to take an
awe-inspiring flight over this alpine region (own expense, weather
permitting). Departing this spectacular area we continue on our
journey to the pretty lakeside settlement of Lake Ohau. This
evening enjoy a High Country Hospitality Dinner.

Day 3 Lake Ohau, Dunedin, Scottish Ceremony.
Journey to historic Dunedin. Upon arrival in Dunedin enjoy a
city sightseeing tour, visiting Olveston House. Tonight immerse
yourself in a traditional Scottish Ceremony including haggis and
bagpipes at your hotel.

Day 4 Dunedin, Te Anau.
This morning you have time to explore this grand
Scottish-influenced city. Departing from Dunedin we travel across
the South Island to the pretty lakeside settlement of Te
Anau.

Day 5 Te Anau, Milford Sound, Queenstown, Walter Peak
Dinner.
A highlight of our tour today is a cruise on beautiful Milford
Sound - one of the great wonders of nature. Discover spectacular
scenery, an abundance of wildlife, views of majestic Mitre Peak, a
multitude of waterfalls and other landmarks. Continue to the
action-packed alpine resort of Queenstown. This evening cruise to
Walter Peak Station on the TSS Earnslaw to enjoy a sumptuous
carvery dinner.

Depart this morning from Queenstown and journey across Haast
Pass to Haast on the West Coast.

Day 8 Haast, Greymouth.
Enjoy the incredible scenery as we travel along the West
Coast, through a world of mountains and glaciers, tranquil lakes
and raging rivers. Continue along dramatic coastline through
rainforest to World Heritage Westland National Park. There is the
opportunity for an optional scenic flight over the spectacular
glaciers of this region (own expense, weather permitting).
Stay: Greymouth, Kingsgate Greymouth.

Day 9 Greymouth, TranzAlpine Train, Christchurch.
Journey to Punakaiki to view the fascinating Pancake rock
formations and blowholes. Return to Greymouth and board the
award-winning TranzAlpine Train. This journey has been voted one of
the top train journeys in the world, and is renowned as New
Zealand's 'Great Rail Journey'. Enjoy stunning scenery as we
journey through spectacular gorges, river valleys and across the
country's greatest mountain range, the magnificent Southern Alps.
Climb up into the Main Divide before crossing the vast patchwork
farmlands of the Canterbury Plains. Arrive in the Garden City of
Christchurch. Your tour concludes upon arrival and a departure
transfer to the airport is included.
