to Chianciano Terme for three nights. B,D

Rome (included). Today you have the full day to discover
the former capital of the Roman Empire with our visit to the
'eternal city' of Rome. A lovely place to explore, our guided
sightseeing tour (optional) by coach and on foot is a fantastic way
to introduce you to the city's array of spectacular sights.
Accompanied by a local guide, you will visit the principal sights
of the city. Climb the famous Spanish Steps and ensure a return
visit to the city by tossing a coin in the Trevi Fountain. A visit
to the mighty Colosseum, with a guided tour of Rome's greatest
amphitheatre, will be the highlight of your day. B,D
- Day 5 -
Assisi (optional). Assisi is a delightful town perched
halfway up Monte Subasio, offering spectacular views and pleasant,
fountain-splashed piazzas, but it is its close association with St
Francis, the much-loved Catholic saint, that attracts visitors.
During the day you will have time at leisure to explore this
fascinating town which, despite its popularity, manages to retain a
tranquil charm, reflecting its most famous son. B,D
- Day 6 -
Florence (included). Leaving Chianciano, we head to the
Renaissance city of Florence, cultural capital of Tuscany, and home
to many of the world's most important works of art. Get more out of
your day in Florence by joining our local guide for a tour of the
city (optional). Travel by coach up the hills behind the city to
Piazza Michelangelo from where you can enjoy a magnificent
panoramic view of the city and surrounding countryside. Once you
have taken your photos, the coach will take you back to the city,
where your guide will lead you on a walking tour through the
delightful streets of Florence, pointing out the major sights.
After time in Florence, we head to Venice Mestre for a two-night
stay. B,D
- Day 7 -
Venice (included). Spend a full day in the enchanting city
of Venice. Famous for its many spectacular sights, Venice is home
to the Bridge of Sighs, St Mark's Square and the Doges' Palace. A
ride on a gondola (optional), with your expert gondolier steering
you through the busy waterways of Venice, is a unique and exciting

relax at Harry's Bar with one of their famous Bellini cocktails.

Verona (included). Visit Verona, the second largest city
in the Veneto and setting for 'Romeo and Juliet'. This beautiful
Roman city is situated alongside the River Adige. The many historic
buildings, the mighty Roman Arena famous for its summer opera
performances, and Juliet's balcony make it a lovely place to
explore on foot. You will also have time to browse amongst the
shops or take a coffee break in one of the many cafés in
Piazza Bra overlooking the Arena. Our guided walking tour
