Your itinerary8-Day Capitals Break
- Day
1 - We travel to Belgium and stop for the
night.
- Day
2 - We arrive in the Vienna Woods area and stay for
three nights. B,D
- Day 3 -
Vienna (included) We visit the home of the former Habsburg
Monarchy, and present-day capital of Austria, seeing the splendid
Baroque Schönbrunn and Belvedere Palaces, the Ring Boulevard,
and the heart of the former vast Habsburg empire, the Imperial
Palace. Our guided sightseeing tour by coach (optional, included on
Silver Service) is also a great introduction to the sights,
covering the State Opera House, Parliament and the Ringstrasse
along the way. B,D
- Day 4 -
Budapest (included) 'The city of spas' is really two
historically-independent communities, Buda and Pest, split by the
Danube. Buda is built at the feet of two hills - Castle Hill and
Gellért Hill. Facing it is Pest, long-renowned as the city's
commercial and intellectual centre, its landmarks incorporating
great avenues and boulevards. Our sightseeing tour (optional,
included on Silver Service) features the Parliament Buildings, St.
Stephen's Basilica, Heroes Square and the huge Citadel.

Bratislava (included) We continue to Prague for a
two-night stay, stopping en route in Bratislava, Slovakia's largest
city and capital. Its 2000 year-old history boasts a rich host of
surviving monuments that tell of its past under Hungarian rule.

Prague (included) The capital of the Czech Republic is a
Gothic masterpiece that has played a major role in the development
of Central Europe since the Middle Ages, and is widely recognised
as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Our sightseeing
tour (optional, included on Silver Service) captures the best of
this beautiful city, known as the 'golden town' for its gold-tipped
towers and church domes. The many historic buildings, grand squares
and elegant landmarks, such as Wenceslas Square, the famous
Astronomical Clock and Charles Bridge, can be explored on foot. Our
local guide reveals the stories of the people and places that
shaped the history of this magnificent city. B,D
