Travel notes An evenly paced
tour with two nights stays in five out of the seven cities visited.
Hotels are of an excellent standard, ranging from the modern in
Rome and Florence, to the more traditional in Assisi. The hotel in
Venice lies on the Grand Canal and is a restored 15th century
palazzo. The majority of driving days are of reasonable length with
frequent stops, often with excellent photo opportunities. The climb
up to the castle in Assisi is energetic, but does offer wonderful
views out over the valley.
