3. Helsinki to Tallinn
Cross the Gulf of Finland to Estonia by ferry, taking a walking
tour of Old Tallinn when you reach the capital: this well-preserved
area of the city is known for its 16th-century merchants' houses,
cobbled alleyways and stone ramparts. Make yourself at home in the

4. Tallinn
Take in more of the city on this morning's tour, including the
baroque Kadriorg Palace (built for the Russian Tsar, Peter the
Great) and an open-air museum of farming life in Rocca-al-Mare.
With a free afternoon, you could return to Tallinn's Old Town, just

5. Tallinn to Riga
Stop off at the seaside town of Parnu, popular for its lovely
beach and its mud baths, for a short tour and lunch on the way to
Latvia today. Arriving in the coastal city of Riga, head to the
