1. London to Moscow
After your door-to-door journey to London Heathrow fly to Moscow
with British Airways. On arrival transfer to your cruise ship, the

2. Moscow
Explore the highlights of this opulent city this morning taking
in the colourful multi-domed St Basil's Cathedral, Red Square and
GUM, the well-known chic department store. The afternoon is free
for you to relax on board, or perhaps take an optional excursion to
the State Tretyakov Gallery to see its fine collection of Russian

3. Moscow
See the cathedrals, palaces and museums of Tsarist Moscow inside
the walls of the Kremlin, the medieval fortified complex at the
heart of the city, on a morning tour. After lunch why not join the
optional trip to the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts for an insight
into Russia's artistic heritage. Alternatively, spend the afternoon
as you please, either discovering more of the city for yourself or
making use of your ship's facilities. B L D.
4. Uglich
After admiring the cityscape from the water, you've a morning
walking tour of Uglich, one of Russia's Golden Ring towns. Among
the 17th- and 18th-century buildings, you'll see the Church of St
Dmitry on the Blood, infamous as the site where the body of Ivan
the Terrible's son was found. This afternoon, continue your cruise
through the territory of ancient Muscovy and along the Moscow

5. Yaroslavl
Head for the well preserved 'Golden Ring' city of Yaroslavl
today, that stretches along the banks of the Volga for 18 miles.
Founded in the 11th century, it was once one of Russia's most
important trading towns. Mid-afternoon, get to know the city's
historic centre on a tour, taking in the frescoed Church of Elija
the Prophet - just one of the many impressive ecclesiastical
buildings in the city. B L D
6. Volga-Baltic Waterway and Goritzy
Pass through some delightful pastoral scenery today as you
cruise part of the Volga-Baltic Waterway, the 700-mile-long system
of rivers, lakes and canals that links the Volga River and the
Baltic Sea. Make a stop in the village of Goritzy and visit the
nearby historic Kitillov Belozersky Monastery on the shores of the
White Lake. See the 15th century Assumption Cathedral and learn of
it's history where, during its peak in the 18th century, it had
holdings of over 20,000 serfs and over 400 villages. It's museum is
now home to some beautiful icons and frescoes. B L D
7. Kizhi Island
Relax on board this morning as you cruise the northern lakes
through beautiful Karelia. Make an afternoon stop in the pretty
northern countryside on the island of Kizhi to visit its open air
museum, with its 22 domed wooden church - said to have been put
together without the aid of a single nail.
8. Mandrogi
Cruise through the rolling farmland and forests of Karelia
enjoying the scenic vistas from the comfort of your ship. Make a
stop at a picturesque riverside village where you can walk around
and take a look at what typical rural life entails. BLD
9. St Petersburg
Sail into St Petersburg this morning and discover the sights
scattered amongst its islands, canals and bridges including the
Peter and Paul Fortress, the baroque complex of Smolny Convent and
the Cathedral of St Isaacs. You have the afternoon free to explore
the many delights of this 'Venice of the North'. B L D
10. St Petersburg
This morning take a tour of the Hermitage Museum, once the
beautiful Winter Palace of the Tsars. Spend this afternoon at
leisure enjoying some of the many treasures of St Petersburg. Later
why not take an optional excursion to a peformance at one of the
city's internationally renowned theatres before a late dinner. B

11. St Petersburg to London Heathrow
Head to the airport for your evening flight back to the UK with
British Airways. On arrival your door to door driver will be
waiting to take you home. B

Complete with a river-view picture window, your cabin is
equipped with private bathroom facilities (shower and wc), a fridge
and air-conditioning. Standard cabins are about 12 square metres in
size and Junior Suites are round 14 square metres. Suites located
on the Upper Deck are around 27 square metres.
Prices are based on a lower deck cabin, upgrades are available
on the main deck, upper deck and boat deck from £105 per
