1. London to Beijing

Your door-to-door driver will take you to London Heathrow for your overnight Air China flight to Beijing.

2. Beijing

Arriving in Beijing, settle into the Radisson SAS Hotel or Beijing Xiyuan Hotel, your 4 diamond home for three nights. Later, tour the Temple of Heaven, China's largest temple and altar complex.

3. Beijing

Stopping first at Tian'anmen Square, home to Mao's Mausoleum, continue to the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace on today's city tour. B L

4. Sacred Way and the Great Wall

Visit the Sacred Way: tombs of the 13 Ming emperors guarded by statues of animals and warriors. This afternoon, admire the surrounding scenery from the Great Wall of China. B L

5. Beijing to Chongqing

10. Shanghai

Today's city tour includes a visit to the Jade Buddha Temple before continuing to Yuyuan Gardens and the Shanghai museum. After strolling along the Bund's colonial waterfront, enjoy an evening performance by the famous Chinese Acrobats. B L D

11. Shanghai to Guilin

Your morning is at leisure to discover more historic squares, palaces and pagodas, as well as the fantastic shops of the Nanjing Road, before flying to beautiful Guilin. The centrally-located Sheraton Hotel (4 diamond), on the banks of the Li River, welcomes you for two nights. B L

12. Guilin

Cruise on the Li River through Guilin's stunning landscape of shimmering paddy fields, manicured farmland and beautiful limestone outcrops. Reaching the town of Yangshuo, visit the local market before returning to Guilin by road. B L

13. Guilin to Xi'an

Today, visit the Reed Flute Caves for a look at the stalagmites and stalactites. Fly to Xi'an this afternoon and head for the city wall - built during the Tang Dynasty, it's the only complete city wall still standing in China. Relax for the next two nights at the 4 diamond Hyatt Hotel, situated within the city's famous walls. B L

14. Xi'an

Visit the Neolithic ruins of Ban Po and the hot springs at Huaqing before continuing, this afternoon, to the 2000-year-old Terracotta Army, built to guard the Qin emperor's tomb and protect his journey to the afterlife. Enjoy dinner this evening at the Tang Dynasty Show. B L D

15. Xi'an to Beijing

This morning, visit Shaanxi's History Museum and Big Wild Goose Pagoda (an impressive fortress-like wood-and-brick building dating back to 652 AD) before flying to Beijing for one more night at the Radisson SAS Hotel or Beijing Xiyuan Hotel (4 diamond). B L

Regal's cruise ships were designed to meet international river cruising standards: five decks provide ample public areas and your reserved standard twin cabins (121 sq ft) have a private bathroom (shower), air-conditioning and outside-facing window.
