Bahrain

2. Bahrain
This mornings sightseeing tour visits the Bahrain museum, the
Bahrain Fort and the famous Tree of Life. Later relax and explore

3. Bahrain to Qatar
Fly mid morning with Gulf Air to Qatar, where the
Inter-Continental Hotel Doha (5 Diamond) is your home for two
nights. An afternoon at leisure. B
4. Qatar
Morning city tour that takes in the sea front Corniche and Dhow
Harbour, the Old Souq, Falcon Shops and Equestrian Club. Afternoon
at leisure or take an optional desert tour in 4-wheel drives,
stopping at the inland sea. B L
5. Qatar to Abu Dhabi
Relax this morning before taking a Gulf Air flight to Abu Dhabi
via Bahrain transferring to the 5 Diamond Sheraton Abu Dhabi Resort
and Towers. B
6. Abu Dhabi
Your morning city tour visits the Old Dhow yard where boats are
still being built as they were hundreds of years ago. Continue on
to the Al Husn Fort, learn about the local people by visiting the
Heritage Village. Continue with a walk on the New Corniche. The
Oriental carpet market, the Iranian souk and vegetable souk is
where the tour ends. Free afternoon to explore.
7. Abu Dhabi to Dubai
Travel onto Dubai this morning passing the largest manmade port
in the world, Jebel Ali. On arrival transfer to the 5 Diamond
Sheraton Dubai Creek. Take an optional tour of this exciting city
or spend the remainder of the day at leisure. B
8. Dubai to Desert Camp
Morning at leisure then head off for a desert safari and
overnight camp. Try a camel ride before dining in traditional
Bedouin style under the stars. B D
9. Desert Camp to Muscat
Depart Muscat arriving at the 5 Diamond Shangri La Al Waha
Hotel, your home for the next 3 nights.
10. Muscat
Discover Muscat and visit the Grand Mosque, savour the souks and
bazaars in the Mutrah district. Finish the day with a tour of the
Old Quarter, viewing the Sultan's Palace and 16th century
Portuguese forts. B
11. Muscat
Your final day is free for you to either enjoy the fine
facilites at the Shangri La Hotel or alternatively end your Arabian
Adventure with an optional tour. B
12. Muscat to London
Depart for your Gulf Air direct flight to London Heathrow. On
arrival your door-to-door driver will be waiting to chauffeur you
home. B
Travel notes
Travelling in this part of the world, comfortable, light clothing
is necessary. However, air conditioned hotels and vehicles plus
evenings in the desert mean a light jacket or wrap would be useful.
You will also be visiting some religious sites where ladies are
expected to cover up, so a scarf will also be handy. Excellent
hotels are featured throughout this tour, so suitable time at
leisure is given for you to enjoy. A highlight of this tour is the
overnight in a Desert camp, where the accommodation is of an
excellent standard, a barbecue dinner over an open fire underneath
the stars is included.
