Travel notes
The Canadian is a renovated 1955 train that acts as a hotel on
rails. While open space is by necessity limited, it has a lovely
restaurant, lounges and bars where you can relax with other
passengers and take in the views. As the train passes through the
Rockies to the prairie provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba and
on to Ontario and Toronto, the scenery is unparalleled. Many remote
communities remain dependent upon Canada's rail system so freight
services carrying supplies still have priority on the rail lines.
This means there can be the occasional delay to our
schedule.
