Your itinerary Map - Day 1 - Arrive Lima On arrival at Lima airport, you will be welcomed by an English-speaking guide and transfer to your five star hotel. Lima possesses all the colourful vitality of an oriental bazaar with its cloud covered winters and light warm summers, where the evening air is full of the scent of jasmine. Hotel: Hotel Plaza del Bosque (Dinner)
- Day 2 - Lima sightseeing & at leisure On today's sightseeing tour we explore both the old and new Lima. The Plaza de Armas, the Town Hall, the Palace of the archbishop and the Cathedral are only some of the highlights of our tour. Next we continue to the San Francisco convent before heading to the most popular place Plaza San Martin. From here we visit the famous Archaeological museum where many cultures of Peru are on display, including the Chavin, Paracas, Nazca, Chimu and Ica. Then there's free time before we enjoy a welcome dinner with our fellow travelling companions at Senorio del Sulco. (Buffet Breakfast, Dinner)
- Day 3 - Cuzco Today we transfer to the airport for our flight to Cuzco. On our arrival we transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon we enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour starting in the centre of the Inca empire, the Plaza de Armas, with its Cathedral built on the ruins of the Inca Palace. Our next stop is the Old Town with its restored colonial buildings, before we visit Sacsayhuaman, a ruin located on a hillside overlooking Cuzco, time to enjoy fabulous views of the city. Then on to the Inca baths of Tambomachay, Kenko the giant rock carved in a strange way, and the ancient site of Puca Pucara. (Buffet Breakfast)
- Day 4 - Cuzco at leisure After breakfast your day is at leisure. You may wish to join a full day excursion to visit the Pisac Indio Market where the famous Indian market takes place followed by lunch in a restaurant in the Urubamba Valley. Then after lunch the tour continues to Ollantaytambo, where you visit the massive buildings of the Incas. (Buffet Breakfast)
- Day 5 - Machu Picchu Excursion Today's highlight is a visit to the Inca city of Machu Picchu. We board our train for our journey past Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes village. Here our small coaches take us up the steep roads to the ruins of the city, that for centuries were undiscovered then found by accident in 1911 by Hirma Bingham. This Inca settlement truly is one of the great wonders of the world. During the day we enjoy an included lunch. After a full day visit we board our train and return to Cuzco. Upon arrival at the train station around 7.00pm, we transfer to our hotel. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch)
- Day 6 - Cuzco - Puno After breakfast, we enjoy a scenic drive through the Peruvian Highlands and along snow-covered peaks, about 4,300 metres above sea level. On our journey we have our included lunch and stop to visit the town of Andahuaylillas, the ruins of Racchi and the small town of Pucara before heading down to Puno, on the shores of the Lake Titicaca for the night. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch)
- Day 7 - Puno - Lake Titicaca - La Paz It's an early start today as we visit the Uros Indians, famous for living on their floating islands. Then we join our bus and transfer to Copacabana, probably the most important place of pilgrimage in Latin America, which also gave the name to the famous beach in Rio de Janeiro. Here we board a Catamaran and enjoy lunch on board as we cruise over Lake Titicaca to the Island of the Sun which is part of Bolivia. In the afternoon we make our way to La Paz, the highest metropolis on earth, for the next two nights. (Buffet Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
- Day 8 - La Paz sightseeing & at leisure We enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of La Paz which shows us its many well kept buildings and its narrow lanes in the old town where the picturesque Indian market still takes place. We will also drive through the chic suburbs of La Paz on our way to to visit Moon Valley, a geological offense caused by mother nature, a place that must be visited! Transfer back to our hotel for dinner and overnight. (Buffet Breakfast, Dinner)
- Day 9 - La Paz - Buenos Aires Today we transfer to the airport for our flight to Buenos Aires. On arrival we are transferred to our hotel. This evening we enjoy dinner at a typical restaurant. (Buffet Breakfast, Dinner)
- Day 10 - Buenos Aires sightseeing After breakfast our guided sightseeing tour begins with a stop at the Plaza de Mayo with the pink colored Casa Rosada, and we see the balcony where Eva Perón and her husband used to address the crowds below. Next, we see the Cabildo (town hall) and the Metropolitan Cathedral before heading to the districts of San Telmo and La Boca, with a visit to the cemetery of Recoleta, the burial site of Eva Duarte who became famous as Eva Perón. We continue along Avenida 9 de Julio, the widest avenue in the world, and more. Finally, a stop at Palermo before we return to the hotel with time at leisure perhaps to shop for some souvenirs. - Day 11 - Buenos Aires at leisure Enjoy a full day at leisure in this exciting city. You may wish to join a full day optional excursion to visit a typical Argentine Estancia and experience real local culture. Or maybe just explore on your own and relax. In the evening, why not join your fellow companions at an optional Tango Show including dinner to enjoy the city's best show performed by prominent interpreters of the tango's excitement. (Buffet Breakfast)
- Day 12 - Buenos Aires - Iguassu Falls Today we transfer to the airport for our flight to Iguassu. On arrival, we board our coach and drive to the Argentine side of the Falls to explore this side of the famous falls. Then we head to the hotel, where the rest of your day and evening is at leisure. (Buffet Breakfast, Dinner)
- Day 13 - Iguassu Falls - Rio de Janeiro After breakfast cross the Iguassu National Park towards the Brazilian Falls by bus and enjoy these magnificent Falls. This afternoon we are transferred to the airport for our flight to Rio de Janeiro, one of the most exciting cities in the world. On arrival we are taken to our hotel with time to check-in and relax. Later, you may wish to explore or shop. Remember Rio is known for its nightlife, so be sure to check it out this evening! (Buffet Breakfast, Dinner)
- Day 14 - Rio de Janeiro sightseeing - Sugar Loaf Mountain and Corcovado Excursion This morning we will enjoy a half-day guided sightseeing tour including the main city sights. Next, the highlight of our day is a breathtaking ride by cable car to the summit of 1,300 foot Sugar Loaf Mountain. Our afternoon highlight is a visit to the Corcovado, upon which stands the famous Christ the Redeemer statue. En route we drive through old and modern Rio before we take a cogwheel train to the famous statue of Christ the Redeemer. Time to enjoy this stunning panorama before we descend. This evening we enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant. (Buffet Breakfast, Dinner)
- Day 15 - Rio de Janeiro at leisure This morning after breakfast, enjoy a full day at leisure perhaps to visit the Saara, for bargains in silver jewelry, leather goods or lacework. For the culture vultures there are museums and art galleries, or you can take a samba lesson! This evening, why not enjoy dinner at a vibrant restaurant and then visit a Samba club! (Buffet Breakfast)
- Day 16 - Depart Rio de Janeiro 'Adeus' to Rio as we transfer to the airport. (Buffet Breakfast)
