Airport Transfers- London Gateways: Transfers can be expensive, particularly between the Airport and central London. When you book your tour with Trafalgar your transfers to and from the airport are included. It's that simple. Trafalgar has included a Free transfer to and from your airport and Central London.
- Important - Please Note: Passengers will only be entitled to transfers to and from London Airports providing the following conditions are met:
- You are staying at a London hotel, booked by Trafalgar, on the night of your arrival and the night prior to the date of your departure.
- Flights are either booked by Trafalgar or detailed information on flights is provided by your Travel Agent not less than 21 days prior to departure.
- Only one included transfer both inbound and outbound per tour is included by Trafalgar. Transfers are by express train to a Central London Rail Station.
- Heathrow Airport: Inbound transfers operate between 06.00-21.30. Outbound transfers are timed to connect with scheduled flights departing between 08.00-23.00. Transfers will be by coach. Gatwick Airport: Inbound transfers operate between 06.00-12.30. Outbound transfers are timed to connect with scheduled flights departing between 08.00-23.00. Transfers will be by express train and coach. Transfers outside these times will be at the passengers own expense.
- In the event of unforeseen events (road or rail works, demonstrations, strikes) Trafalgar will not be held responsible for delayed or cancelled transfers

Your itinerary Map - Day 1 - London - Paris (2 nights) We drive to Dover for our Channel crossing to France, where we join our coach and drive across World War I Battlefields to Paris. Tonight, enjoy a Welcome Dinner and drink in a lively brasserie. (Welcome Dinner)
Hotel: Renaissance (2 nights)
- Day 2 - Paris sightseeing & at leisure Morning sightseeing tour includes an ascent to the second level of the Eiffel Tower. We also enjoy a drive along the Champs Elysées to the Arc de Triomphe before viewing Notre Dame Cathedral. Then, a walking tour enhanced by our excellent audio system through the Luxembourg gardens. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore. (Buffet breakfast)
- Day 3 - Paris - Chartres - Bordeaux Our first stop is at Chartres, renowned for its Cathedral's windows. Then we continue on to the Loire at Tours and the wine-region of Bordeaux for the night. (Buffet breakfast/ Dinner)

- Day 4 - Bordeaux - Lourdes Through the vineyards of Sauternes and Graves to Lourdes where we see the basilica on top of St. Bernadette's grotto. Why not join the torchlit procession to the basilica this evening? (Buffet breakfast/ Dinner)

- Day 5 - Lourdes - Pau - Biarritz - Burgos After breakfast, we head to medieval Pau, then on to seaside Biarritz. Then into Spain and El Cid's Burgos with its gothic Cathedral. This evening, dinner will be served at our hotel. (BB D) Hotel: Puerta de Burgos.

- Day 6 - Burgos - Madrid (2 nights) Our morning drive takes us across the Sierra de Guadarrama to Madrid. Spain's greatest Art Gallery is the Prado Museum where this afternoon, we are taken on a guided tour to admire its fabulous paintings. (Buffet Breakfast)

- Day 7 - Madrid sightseeing & at leisure Our morning sightseeing tour continues, seeing the Royal Palace and Plaza de España. A guided walking tour using our audio system will take us to the Plaza Mayor and explore the Old Town. Then with time at leisure, you may wish to take an optional excursion to the 'Valley of the Fallen'. (Buffet breakfast)
- Day 8 - Madrid - Barcelona (2 nights) We pass Guadalajara and through the Gorges of Jalon into Aragon province. We see the ruins of the Castle of Somayen en route to Barcelona where tonight we enjoy dinner in a typical restaurant. (Buffet breakfast / Highlight Dinner)
Hotel: Princesa Sofia (2 nights)
- Day 9 - Barcelona sightseeing & at leisure The old Cathedral and art nouveau fantasies of Gaudi highlight our sightseeing tour. We will also enjoy a guided walking tour of the Gothic quarter with the aid of our audio system. Tonight, why not experience the passion of a fiery flamenco show. (Buffet breakfast)
- Day 10 - Barcelona - Cannes - Nice (2 nights) Our morning drive takes us along the coast via Cannes to jet-set Nice. Dinner is at a typical French restaurant this evening. (Buffet Breakfast/ Highlight Dinner)

- Day 11 - Nice - Monaco & Perfumery Excursion Today we drive to the Principality of Monaco where we see the Palace of the Grimaldis and the Cathedral. Later, we will visit a perfumery before returning to Nice. (Buffet breakfast)
- Day 12 - Nice - Pisa - Montecatini After breakfast this morning we drive past Genoa, Columbus' birthplace, before arriving in Pisa to view the incredible Leaning Tower. Then on to Montecatini for the night. (Buffet breakfast/ Dinner)

- Day 13 - Montecatini - Florence - Assisi Today we drive to Florence where our guided walking tour, using our effective audio system, features the Cathedral and Baptistry and visits Santa Croce Basilica, Signoria Square and the Academy of Fine Arts to see Michelangelo's statue of 'David'. Then time at leisure to explore or shop before driving up to Piazzale Michelangelo for stunning views of the city. Finally, across the Tuscan and Umbrian hills to Assisi. (Buffet Breakfast/ Dinner)

- Day 14 - Assisi - Pompeii - Sorrento Orientation of this peaceful town shows us the Basilica of St. Francis and the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli. Next, past the Abbey of Monte Cassino before a walking tour of Pompeii enhanced by the use of our audio equipment and brought to life again by our local guide! Finally, on to our hotel in Sorrento. - Day 15 - Sorrento - Isle of Capri - Rome (2 nights) We enjoy a trip to the enchanting Isle of Capri, where a guided walking tour using audio equipment takes in the Piazzetta and views over the Faraglioni rocks. Enjoy time on your own before we cruise to Naples and continue our journey to the 'Eternal City', Rome. (Buffet breakfast)
Hotel: Mercure Delta Colosseum (2 nights)
- Day 16 - Rome sightseeing & at leisure Morning sightseeing with an included audio system, will feature a visit to St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, and a walk to the Forum to view the Colosseum. We will also see the Circus Maximus where 'Ben Hur' style chariot racing used to take place. Then time is your own to do as you please. Why not visit the Sistine Chapel? (Buffet breakfast)
- Day 17 - Rome - Venice (Lido) (2 nights) Today we drive past hilltop towns into the Apennine Mountains. Then via Bologna and past Padua to cruise to the Lido - part of the floating city of Venice, where we spend the next two nights. (Buffet Breakfast/ Dinner)

- Day 18 - Venice sightseeing & at leisure Savour this Byzantine jewel on a canal cruise by private launch to St. Mark's Square, viewing the Bridge of Sighs. After a visit to a glass-blowing factory, time is your own to explore. (Buffet breakfast/ Dinner)
- Day 19 - Venice (Lido) - Vienna (2 nights) The Carnic Alps herald the Austrian border and Lake District. We travel across the great Alpine highways en route to the Danube Plains and Imperial Vienna for two nights. (Buffet Breakfast)

- Day 20 - Vienna sightseeing & at leisure Morning sightseeing tour shows us the main sights of this beautiful city. A walking tour through the old town with our guide will reveal to us the beauty of 'Am Hof' where Mozart gave his first concert. Thje rest of the day is at leisure to explore. (Buffet breakfast)
- Day 21 - Vienna - Salzburg Through the Danube Valley past the Abbey of Melk and Dürnstein castle before arriving in Salzburg. A guided walking tour shows us Mozart's birthplace and scenes from "The Sound of Music". Tonight we enjoy dinner in a typical restaurant. (Buffet Breakfast)

- Day 22 - Salzburg - Innsbruck - Oberammergau Time at leisure before we make our way to Innsbruck for an orientation tour. Then, into Germany and soon we are in Oberammergau, where orientation shows us the Passion Play Theatre and more. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

- Day 23 - Oberammergau - Liechtenstein - Lucerne (2 nights) Via Garmisch Partenkirchen, we travel to the Arlberg region of Austria. Then on to Vaduz, capital of Liechtenstein. Finally, we approach lakeside Lucerne for two nights. (Buffet Breakfast/ Dinner)

- Day 24 - Lucerne orientation & at leisure Orientation includes a visit to the famous Lion Monument and the Chapel Bridge. Then the rest of the day is at leisure. (Buffet breakfast)
- Day 25 - Lucerne - Freiburg - Heidelberg - Rhine Cruise - Rhineland (Koblenz) First to Freiburg, with its Cathedral before arriving at Heidelberg to view its Castle. Next on to St. Goar for our Rhine cruise to Boppard. (Buffet breakfast/ Dinner)
