Airport Transfers- London Gateways: Transfers can be expensive, particularly between the Airport and central London. When you book your tour with Trafalgar your transfers to and from the airport are included. It's that simple. Trafalgar has included a Free transfer to and from your airport and Central London.
- Important - Please Note: Passengers will only be entitled to transfers to and from London Airports providing the following conditions are met:
- You are staying at a London hotel, booked by Trafalgar, on the night of your arrival and the night prior to the date of your departure.
- Flights are either booked by Trafalgar or detailed information on flights is provided by your Travel Agent not less than 21 days prior to departure.
- Only one included transfer both inbound and outbound per tour is included by Trafalgar. Transfers are by express train to a Central London Rail Station.
- Heathrow Airport: Inbound transfers operate between 06.00-21.30. Outbound transfers are timed to connect with scheduled flights departing between 08.00-23.00. Transfers will be by coach. Gatwick Airport: Inbound transfers operate between 06.00-12.30. Outbound transfers are timed to connect with scheduled flights departing between 08.00-23.00. Transfers will be by express train and coach. Transfers outside these times will be at the passengers own expense.
- In the event of unforeseen events (road or rail works, demonstrations, strikes) Trafalgar will not be held responsible for delayed or cancelled transfers.
- No refund is available for passengers not utilising this service.
- Why not upgrade to a Hotelink transfer from the Airport to-the-door of your Trafalgar London hotel? (please ask Trafalgar or your travel agent of the additional upgrade price per person when booking)
- European Gateways: With Trafalgar all passengers will receive complimentary arrival and departure transfers on the scheduled arrival and departure day of their tour at the times specified below. Please ensure your Travel Agent reserves your flight to co-ordinate with the transfer times shown.
- Trafalgar Bonus - Passengers who book Trafalgar's Land+Air package and who arrive or depart outside of these specified times on the scheduled arrival and departure day of the tour will also be provided with a transfer.
- Passengers arriving before or leaving after the scheduled tour days are not entitled to a transfer but may book and purchase one through Trafalgar providing that they also purchase the additional pre and/or post tour hotel night(s) from Trafalgar. Please ask for prices of transfers at the time of booking your extra night accommodation.
- Land only passengers arriving or departing on the scheduled tour arrival or departure days but whose flights don't coincide with the listed transfer times below may also book and purchase these transfers. Your itinerary Map - Day 1 - London - Brussels A warm welcome from our Tour Director as we begin our drive to Dover. Time to admire the White Cliffs before the short Channel crossing to Calais in France. Next by coach, we will continue our journey through Belgian countryside to Brussels. On our arrival an orientation tour includes the Atomium and Royal Palaces. This evening a walking tour highlighting the Grand' Place and Mannekin Pis ends at a lively bistro in the rue des Bouchers where we will enjoy a Welcome Dinner and drink with our Tour Director. Maybe taste some Moules, frites! (Welcome Dinner)
Hotel: NH Grand Place Arenberg
- Day 2 - Brussels - Rhine Cruise - Heidelberg - Rhineland (Karlsruhe) Our first stop today is at Cologne to see its gothic Cathedral. Then we travel via Bonn, Beethoven's birthplace, to Boppard for a relaxing Rhine cruise. We will disembark in St. Goar and continue on by coach to view Heidelberg Castle before arriving at our Rhineland hotel for the night. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

- Day 3 - Rhineland (Karlsruhe) - Black Forest - Rhine Falls - Lucerne This morning after breakfast, we drive through the Black Forest to admire the mighty Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen. Then we continue into Switzerland, and soon arrive at lakeside Lucerne. After dinner in our hotel, why not sample the fun of an optional Swiss folklore evening?(Buffet breakfast/ Dinner)

- Day 4 - Lucerne - Venice (Main.) Discover Lucerne's medieval heritage on morning orientation tour, seeing the Lion Monument and the walls of the Old Town. Later, enjoy awesome scenery as we head into Italy and via Milan to magical Venice. On our arrival perhaps you'll have time for a gondola ride before dinner tonight at the hotel.

- Day 5 - Venice (Main.) - Rome (2 nights) This morning relax and take in the sights of this city on an included canal cruise by private motor launch to St. Mark's Square, where we view the Bridge of Sighs. Later, we cross the fertile Po Valley to Bologna and join the Autostrada del Sole across the Apennine Mountains to Rome, the 'Eternal City', for our two-night stay. (Buffet breakfast)
Hotel: Mercure Delta Colosseo (2 nights)
- Day 6 - Rome sightseeing & at leisure After breakfast our day begins with a guided tour which includes our excellent audio system and local guide. We visit St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, which includes the moving Pieta of Michelangelo, St Peter's Square. Later our walking tour includes the tomb of the unknown soldier at Piazza Venezia, plus there are views across the ancient Forum, the Colosseum and the Circus Maximus, scene of 'Ben Hur' style chariot races,. Later, enjoy time at leisure to do as you please, you may wish to shop, relax with a cappuccino at a pavement café or visit the Sistine Chapel and the Catacombs. (Buffet breakfast)
- Day 7 - Rome - Florence This morning we travel through the hill towns of Umbria and the Chianti wine-producing region of Tuscany to Florence, cradle of the Renaissance. On our arrival a walking tour, with a special audio system and a local guide, will include the Cathedral, Baptistry, Signoria Square and a visit to the Santa Croce Basilica. The area around this basilica is now the centre of the Italian luxury goods trade. You'll have time to shop here before dinner at the hotel this evening. (Buffet breakfast/ Dinner)

- Day 8 - Florence - Pisa - Nice (2 nights) Our first stop this morning is at Pisa to see its intriguing Leaning Tower. From here we continue past the marble quarries of Carrara and along the Motorway of Flowers, via Genoa, birthplace of Christopher Columbus, to the French border and Nice on the spectacular French Riviera coastline. This evening, why not enjoy a stroll along the elegant Promenade des Anglais? (Buffet breakfast)
Hotel: Grand Aston (2 nights)
- Day 9 - Nice - Monaco Excursion This morning after breakfast enjoy a full day at lesiure to savour the relaxed ambience of the Côte d'Azur. Why not lounge on the beach, shop in the boutiques or visit medieval St. Paul de Vence? Later, experience a taste of the high life on our included visit to the Principality of Monaco where we see the Monte Carlo casinos. We will enjoy dinner in a French restaurant this evening. (Buffet breakfast / Highlight Dinner)
- Day 10 - Nice - Lyon - TGV Train - Paris (2 nights) After breakast today a scenic drive takes us through Provence to Lyon, where we board our rapid and supremely comfortable TGV train. The journey will take us through Burgundy's fertile vineyards to the fascinating city of Paris, where we spend the next two nights. Your evening will be at leisure perhaps to explore this vibrant and romantic capital. (Buffet breakfast)
Hotel: Concorde Saint Lazare (2 nights)
- Day 11 - Paris sightseeing & at leisure First with a local guide we drive from the Place de la Concorde along the Champs Elysées to the Arc de Triomphe and then ascend to the second level of the Eiffel Tower by elevator for amazing views over the city. Next we enjoy views of Notre Dame Cathedral and the Pont Alexandre III. Our walking tour will take us through the Luxembourg gardens - enhanced by the use of our excellent audio-system. Afterwards, there's time on your own to perhaps shop for next year's fashions or relax and watch the world go by in one of the chic pavement cafés. On your last night, why not join your travelling companions and be entertained at one of the city's famous cabaret shows? (Buffet breakfast)
- Day 12 - Paris - London After breakfast it's 'au revoir' Paris. We cross the Somme Battlefields and travel by the Canadian War Memorial at Vimy Ridge. On to the Opal Coast with its remnants of German World War II bunkers. In Calais we board our ferry to Dover where our coach drives us back to London.
